Brass Ark Bach 42 open leadpipe
I am considering switching to the Bach 42 open lead pipe. Interested in hearing any positives or negatives. Thanks in advance

You won't know how it works until you try it. All leadpipes are like that, even ones that supposed to be the same exact spec pipe.

What are you expecting to accomplish with a leadpipe switch? Is there some problem you need to improve?
I own no trombones with exchangeable leadpipes so I can't help with your original question. But just changing for the sake of changing has a low chance of success.
