I recently started working on Alan Ralph's excercise for improving the quality of trigger E down to trigger C. The "money notes" as he calls them. I got linked to it from a post here on tbone chat. You can find it on YouTube.
I've found it to be an absolutely great warm up. It is helping me to get a better presence and sound in the trigger range. But after running the excercise I find my flexibility is great and I have a nice centered tone throughout the whole range of the horn.
I'm keeping this one in the lineup.

Doing the 'so called' simple things on any brass instrument with consistency and with smallest input for maximum output is the essence of playing with ease and control and I found this exercise to be a keeper.
