Maybe this is old news and I missed it here somewhere. It appears that Mr. Griffin is no longer listed on the Shires website, if I am reading it correctly. did he leave Shires?

Re: Shires and Ben Griffin
One of my section mates recently visited the Shires factory to assembly his dream horn. He confirmed that Ben is no longer with Shires. He did not find out, however, what Ben has moved on to.

Ben is not longer with Shires. I think it's been at least a year now, but less than two (he was with Shires at ITF 2017). I know nothing of the circumstances of the separation. I heard he was touring with a show.

He left to pursue performing full time. Completely amicable separation.

That's exactly right. Kudos to him for doing what he does and that is our loss in the industry.
