Zappa/Fowler - Revised Music for Low Budget Symphony Orchestra

Post by CalgaryTbone »

Hi All -

My orchestra is playing this piece later this season. I found a Youtube recording and it's a crazy trombone part. I'm pretty sure that it's a rental part, so I'm wondering if there's a part out there in someone's library? I don't think that this is the kind of thing that can be prepared in the usual 2 or 3 weeks time that most music arrives in our library before the performances. The Fowler in the title is LA great, Bruce Fowler. He's on the recording and sounds fantastic!

I'd appreciate it if anyone has a part and can send me a copy for prep. work. Thanks!

A local group performed a suite of Zappa music last year. I don’t remember the details but the cost involved was anything but low budget. Rightly so, perhaps, as the FZ connection brought out an impressively large audience.
