1933 Conn Special!

I have an interesting horn. It measures out as a 4H. On the slide and the bell it has is Spec. On one side of the slide it has just the #4 no H. It is a rather plain Jane horn. With just the CG Conn half moon engraving. It says special The only thing that appears to be special about the horn is that it seems to have a heavier than normal bell for a 4H. which makes it seem to have a little darker sound than my other 4h Conn horns.

Does anyone know the details on these horns that are marked only spec. I was thinking maybe military or something along that line.
