Today, I briefly played a students' factory-made Bach 42 with the Infinity/Instrument Innovations valve, and was thoroughly impressed. Really even top to bottom, solid feel, good feedback and response. A very good 42, this one.

Does anyone know what material Instrument Innovations use for the core of these?
