I'm a high schooler getting a bass bone to use as a double in concert. I play a DW 2Xl on tuba, I was looking at the Yamaha Yeo Replica I found a few used around $50, what would a better mouthpiece for me around that price

We need so much more information to help you but what I will say about the Yeo is that it works best (for me) with smaller horns. The few people that have it around here use them on Vintage or Single Valve Conn Basses. I just used mine with great success with my Conn 88H on a Bass part for some Jazz pieces in rehearsal as the bass player was sick. I LOVE the mouthpiece on my real Bass, comfort and playability wise but the sound is just okay. The best way I can describe it is, the very best Average bass trombone sound in the world.
Hopefully the Bass you get will come with a mouthpiece you can try and you can go from there.

^ This.
In going from tuba to bass trombone I tried more mouthpieces than I can remember. I won't go through the litany of that. But I always found the Yeo to be much too big.
Anyhow, you have to keep in mind that a bass trombone isn't a "slide tuba". It's a bass TROMBONE. Your biggest challenge will likely lie in the area of a natural inclination to make it sound like your tuba. And starting with too large a mouthpiece will just encourage that. It took me an embarrassing amount of time before I managed to get a decent bass trombone sound out of the horn.

I use the Yeo. But it does not help me when I tried to play tuba. Totally different embouchure.
