Are replacement inner slides available for Benge 290s? King slides for example?

VERY rough guess that Bach 50 tubes MIGHT fit.....

Have your tech measure the Outside Diameter of the stocking. There are plenty of .562" slide options! But the stocking OD will be the deciding factor if the tube will work

Given who made the horn, I'd bet a King 6B, 7B, or 8B inner would fit.

Only issue with those parts is availability. They would more than likely work well, but finding them may be a challenge.

Just checked the Allied catalog. The King tubes are listed (with an ID of .560, OD .595.) No other tubes have those dimensions. Closest is C with an OD of .596, which would be an absolutely acceptable swap. Getzen tubes have an OD of .594, so would also be a valid replacement part. Bach list as an OD of .592.
Of course being listed doesn't guarantee availability.

Check the prices with Allied before you buy the tube. Slide tube inners have gotten ridiculously expensive.

I replaced the inner slide on a Benge 290 with a Getzen inner about 5-6 years ago. It worked quite well. I think Getzen was the choice because the price was lower than the other options.

If you send it to Sweeney Brass, you won't even need to think -- guy will get tubes that work, either from the manufacturer (or King) or from someone like MK Drawing that can make the part. You'll get your slide back all like brand new.

A King bass trombone inner slide would be a custom order from MK. A custom order from MK these days could be a LONG wait.

I have been waiting since June to get a Bach 50 inner slide from MK. The Bach 50 inner slide is supposed to be a regular part that is always in stock. I think MK might be down a couple of employees at their facility.
