Two blues soli

Three days ago I finally had a lovely jazz gig again after quite some time. Open air ballroom bigband gig. The weeks before I played looots of pit shows. I had two blues solos and a person in the audience filmed those. So, just quickly sharing those in here. I hope Dropbox links will work, because I don't want to upload them on YouTube.

The Dropbox links worked fine.
Great job, Erik! What a wonderful feel you have, and I loved your excellent plunger work on the second tune. (What is the 2nd tune, anyway? I know I've played it based on the sax soli at the end of your solo, but I can't place it.) Also the band sounds good, and what a nice venue for an outdoor gig. Loved every bit of it! Good job. Thank you for sharing these.
More, please!

Thank you for your kind words, Dana! Much appreciated!
You might have played the 2nd tune with Buddy Rich. It's called Basically Blues. Nice chart!
The band is not bad and every now and then I sub there. The venue was really cool in a nice baroque garden and the people dancing to the music is sth that doesn't happen often over here.

Very nice solos and the band also sounds good!
Looks like a fun gig.

I think I was hearing Phil Wilson's "Basically Blues."

Nice! I haven't played either of those for a long time. Blues in Hoss Flat was the first solo I recorded when I joined the Airmen of Note. Somebody put in on YouTube with a transcription. You started your solo almost the same way I did.

Ha! I know your solo with the Airmen! You're right! Haven't (consciously) thought of that although I've heard your recording before!

Nice!
It's always good to hear others play, and play well. Thanks for sharing!
I don't really like practising licks because I feel restricted by playing in musically pre-determined phrases, but I firmly believe in close listening and maybe your solo's resemblance of Doug's (which I have listened to a gazillion times) is a result of that.
Anyway; nice to hear!
