Leadpipe Identification

Post by tkelley216 »

A colleague found this leadpipe and I'm not 100% sure what it is.
Fits small bore, I have a feeling it's for one of the Yamaha jazz trombones but am not certain. Has "M55" marked on the top.

Can anyone confirm what it is and approximately how much it might be worth?

Thanks!

To be clear, this is from an 891ZD making it fresh/new style. Only two manufacturers (I am aware of) who make 2pc leadpipes King, and Yamaha.

True! But XO overworks the idea with an orientation indicating keyway and captive lock ring - Thanks for the reminder! Interesting that Laetzsch also do it this (two piece) way.
