Any players of this instrument out there? If so would appreciate your comments on its capabilities or weaknesses and what you think of it

I have a friend who owns one, and I have played it. It's a single valve rotor, and to me was very heavy and not all that easy to hold. Not a bad player, but it just felt awkward to me. If you're doing concert band work, it might be okay, but having that second valve is mighty inviting (yes, I know George Roberts). It's a solidly built horn made for the student market, and I think it sells new for under $2500. It just wasn't my cup of tea. I think that there are better used horns available, but you have to do your research.
