There is a seller on Facebook listing a new or near new Greenhoe bass trombone for $300. Anyone in the Toledo, Ohio area have one stolen recently?

Found the post and it shows the listing was made in LA but I just messaged him and apparently he's in Maine?

Looks like it's just a scam, possibly stole someone else's photos. I'm chatting with him now so I'll see what happens

I also chatted. I couldn't find a match for the photos online, but definitely trying to scam by only doing shipping.

This particular horn/ photos were posted on FB earlier this month.

I know Scott, maybe I should ask him about it?

He is (was) probably unaware that his photos had been appropriated by a scammer.

Hope the perp gets caught!

I'm an admin for a few of the selling groups on Facebook so I'm going to ban him. I hate that there's so many scammers around nowadays

Now you know one of the reasons we had to go to 3 posts to full membership.

Ya it's a great way to stop that kind of thing. I put questions on the entry request thing and that slows it down, but there's just so many scammers across Facebook!

I played along with him long enough to confirm he was a scammer. He is a guy using the FB account of someone else.
