FT/FS - Holton 156 for Bach 42G

I`m looking to either Trade or sell my Straight Holton 156. The instrument is in GREAT shape. It has been modified
by the person I bought it from. It`s a wonderful Dark , free playing horn. My sound concept has changed otherwise I`d be keeping this horn. It`s a super horn for someone looking for a Straight Orchestral tenor . Email me for Pictures, Can`t get it to work here

1976 Holton 156 Straight
9" red Brass Bell Raw Brass - NO Dents !!!
Slide is a 10/10
Removable leadpipe (origin unknown - Plays very freely)
Edwards Bass Hand slide crook
Slide was modified to a straight .547 bore (originally .547/.562)
Comes with a case.
What I`m looking a Straight Bach 42G
I`d prefer a Light weight slide but standard slide is OK

Are you sure the slide was modified?? There are some that came from the factory as straight .547 horns.
These horns are excellent. Very front-heavy but wonderful players.

Hi,
He stated it has an Edwards bass hand slide crook installed. Definitely modified.

I also thought the TR-156 & TR-158 were both .547" bore. Basically, the same horn except for the F-attachment, right?

I think he is questioning that it was originally a dual bore modified to a .547".

Yes, I thought that was the case. I think the earlier ones were single bore, and then came the dual bore. There are also some which have an 8.5" bell while others have 9" bells. It seems as though Dukesboneman knows this, too, based on what he posted.
My friend here in Tulsa has one with a single-bore slide and an 8.5" bell from the factory on which he had a Thayer installed. It plays like a dream.

The horn has an after-market friction-fit leadpipe, and according to the person I purchased the horn from , an Edwards bass Trombone hand slide crook.
It`s a wide slide.
It`s a beautiful horn, I`m just looking for a straight 42G and if nothing happens witha sale or trade, I`ve still got a really good Large bore tenor.
