Heresy I know, but does anyone know if a16M slide section is compatible with the Bb/F bell section of the student TB502B model?

Just eyeballing it, it looks like the threaded receiver on the 502B is the same as the large bore. Indeed, I have a Bach Liberty bell section that has an 8" bell and it likewise has the larger of the receivers (oddly paired with a 547 slide). But that is purely speculation on my part.

I know that a 36 bell will mate with a 16M slide. Don’t know if intonation or response is wonky.
I’ve heard that Vincent was very frugal, using the same parts over many models. The tenons from 36, 16M, 16, and 12 are the same. Not sure about the 8 and 6.
I’ve read the only difference between the 16 and 12 bell is the number stamped on it. Again , I’m not sure about the 8 and 6. Doesn’t apply to the 16M with the more open gooseneck.

I'm pretty sure those are those new entry-level Chinese horns. I'm not sure if they even have normal Bach tenons. If they did, it would be the smaller one (that fits everything from 36-below (including the 39!)).
However, the slide lengths between the .525s and the smaller horns are totally different. It's not worth swapping them around.

I can swap my 12 & 36, but the intonation is woeful so not worth it@

Thanks all,
It was for a potential project that I realise now was just whimsy, and not even worth thinking about any more

I really appreciate the answers though.
