MNW valve on an Edwards

I'm thinking about purchasing an MNW valve that currently fits Shires for my Edwards tenor. How would I have to go about this?

I probably wouldn't, it would be some serious work to fit all the required Edwards fittings for your bell, tuning slide, slide.

Surprisingly, the bell posts are actually exactly in the right spot. But you’ll need a tuning slide receiver and the Edwards threaded nuts since the threads are different. Id also probably swap out the slide receiver. So it’s a lot of work as Aidan indicated in some ways, but not insurmountable.

You would need to have either the valve section, or the bell flare/tuning slide modified to suit. Either, make the valve section Edwards compatible spec (a lot of work) or, make the bell/tuning slide Shires compatible spec (less work than the first option)

Doesn't Edwards make good rotors now? Simplest solution is to just get that, assuming that your Edwards tenor has an axial and you'd rather switch to a rotor.

As far as I know, this is correct. It's a different rotor than was used on their previous rotor model offered years ago. They mention that they took a lot of design cues from the Getzen Custom Reserve series. I do not know if it is the same rotor, but it looks kinda like it.

The AR valve is great!
