I have downloaded a copy of this huge fake book with 700+ pages and 0ver 500 songs.

Does anyone know who may have made and published that book originally?
There is no copyright or publisher mentioned in the book anywhere. In fact no details at all.
I also cannot find any original images of this book. Just the scan.

It is very professionally made with notes etc. and looks like it is much more modern than 1950s.

Who was this band?
I cannot find anything about them.

Does anyone here know more?

The original Disney ensemble of animators led by Ward Kinball was the "Firehouse Five + 2" I believe they decided to set up a "pro" group to play at Disneyland that became the Hook and Ladder (Ward and his buddies were more important as animators).

It's amazing how many Dixieland groups adopted the Firemen model. We have a group here in New England called the New Liberty Jazz Band who ride on a fire truck at all the local parades.

I do not think the Firehouse Five plus 2 are related to the name on this book. But I could be very wrong.

I found one single mention somewhere in a forum that the Firehouse Jazzband was from Nashville. Again I do not know if that is true.

Producing a book like that and then again, same for Bb instruments was a whole lot of effort.
So someone out there did that for some purpose. Possibly to sell and make money from selling it.
Looking at the binding holes, it was a ring bound book or that was already a copy.

Edit: Here is a sample of the quality of the layout. That is not backyard work in my opinion and the scan seems to be from an original and not a copy.

The book was made after 1997 as I just found a band and date reference at one of the songs.
So it is a modern book after all but I still have no idea where it came from.

Yes, it is downloadable from a number of sources.

The second result from a Google search is a link to a newsgroup discussion from 2004 that has this info:
