Hello. I have such a valuable, vintage, master trombone made in 1935. Master Shahbender from Odessa, Ukraine (former USSR). This is one of the few copies that have survived to our time.
I want to sell it, I am interested in such a question. Will it be interesting for someone and who can offer what amount?
You can not worry about delivery from Ukraine. I live closer to the border with Poland, everything will be fine. Also, for reliability, I can post an ad on Ebay, I have an account there with a 100% positive rating.
I will be glad for all answers.
Thanks
Valentyn

What range of price are you expecting to get?
The market for such instruments is very small, so they are typically not very valuable. This is a German style instrument, and people who are in the market for something like that will rather prefer to look for an instrument from one of the reputable German makers of the time. Those can be more valuable. Otherwise, an instrument that old, from an unknown maker, and in unknown condition, is unfortunately unlikely to be deemed very desirable.

Thanks for the answer. I expect something in the region of $350-$400, if possible. Of course, I understand that the master is unknown, but maybe it will be valuable for someone to have such an instrument in their collection.LeTromboniste wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 3:09 am What range of price are you expecting to get?

I’m sure this instrument has an amazing history! I personally know way too little about the Ukrainian trombone traditions, but I’m very curious.
I have to ask: how is life for trombone players in Ukraine now? Are there concerts still? Can you work and get payed? And is there anything we as a community can do to help out? Except supporting the sanctions against Russia and the military support for Ukraine, obviously.
I know we should keep politics out of this forum. However we have members of our community living in a democracy that’s being invaded by a tyrant. I would like to hear how you’re coping, if you don’t mind me asking.

I think that's a reasonable price range to ask.TrombVB wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 5:13 amThanks for the answer. I expect something in the region of $350-$400, if possible. Thank you very much for your interest in this issue and for your support. Currently, work and concerts are more difficult than before the war. But we still try to hold them, to raise spirits and to distract the civilian population a little from constant thoughts about her. Of course, this applies more to the western part of the country, where there are no direct hostilities, but there are also constant missile and air strikes on cities and the civilian population.Chatname wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 5:56 am I’m sure this instrument has an amazing history! Many Ukrainian groups are currently touring Europe, for which we are very grateful for this support and the way they welcome us. I will be sincerely grateful to everyone who supports Ukraine and condemns the actions of tyranny against us.
If someone has the financial opportunity to help, write in private. A friend of mine has a volunteer charity fund to support both civilians and military.
Glory to Ukraine!

It all sounds so terrible… I sincerely hope your country is victorious, for your own sake but also for the rest of the free world.
