Has anyone else been speculating around this new model? Thein has been making a couple posts with their new models using a thayer valve.

They look gorgeous, what struck me though is there seems to be no bell brass on the bass model. The brace connects to the F tubing, is that something common on Thein instruments?

Yes, all their horns are like that. A bit spindly looking. Apparently it works though. That surprises me, since both Hagmanns and axials are not super happy with being torqued around.

I do enjoy that they use Olsen axials!

They are coming for the American market. Lol
There is Thein Thayer tenor shown in ITF this year has very similar design to Edwards, except an extra brace and screw bell.

Brian Hecht ended his partnership with Shires, he announced it on instagram. Curious to confirm if this is his signature model with Thein.

Unfortunately these instruments will probably be extremely expensive.

I can appreciate them trying to get into the American market, but the cost is going to be a big barrier when for that price you could have two basses, two tenors, or one of each from one of the custom makers in the states.

That’s a bit too much for a trombone.
