Bach 36c bracing question

I wanted to try a Bach 36b because I'm interested in .525 horns with an f-attachment, and I'd never played a 36. I bought a 36c on facebook market place to try. The f-attachment has the traditional wrap. I noticed that for the 36c and 42c the middle brace get's moved to the top of the tuning slide sleeves. How big of an impact is this change compared to the bracing of a standard straight 42/36 or a standard non-convertible 42b/36b with traditional wrap? If I'm not in love with the response of this horn (which so far I'm not) should I try a standard 36b?

My opinion - Since there are other part differences too, you can't really isolate the brace position as being the specific cause of playing or response differences. Without moving the brace to that position on a standard 36 and 36B.

There are far too many other potential anomalies effecting the response of that particular horn to blame it on one specific aspect of the design.

This. And this is true for just about any Bach trombone.

Now, I can tell you, I used to own a Bach 42CO, and honestly I can probably count on one hand how many times I actually converted it to a straight horn. I think it did have a counterweight, but was still front heavy when I removed the F-attachment and put in the straight gooseneck. With location of the second brace on traditional wrap version, there isn't really any room to put in a counterweight, even if you wanted one.
