Here is some high school student's review of the Bach 36 bo on wwbw.com.
Comments about Bach 36BO Stradivarius Series Trombone:
I am the best trombone player in my county, but i play tenor tbone. At first, i wanted to switch to trigger. However as I progressed with pedaltones,I can go Really low, I wanted a Bass Trombone. Everybody who knows their stuff recomends me to the bass tbone. Now im in love with contra bass and bass trombone. However, no mater where i look , the prices on these things are outragious.Whats wrong with a monthly payment or something.I aint poor but rich im not.Lower the price or make a dealand ill be good to go.

My paraphrase of a Maurice Andre's comment on a brilliant young trumpet player on a masterclass in Zurich:
"And I thought there were only monkeys in the jungle"...
This was 2004, then people didn't worry so much on political correct attitude and were doing inappropriate jokes...

To be honest, I kind of feel the same way about Bach prices. Way higher than they warrant given the price of similar substitutes.
But to the point this is why I don't always categorically tell people to ask their teacher about equipment. Sometimes advice from random, but knowledgeable strangers is much better than you can get from the local musicians if they aren't particularly knowledgable. My local shop sold me a 6.5 AL "bass trombone mouthpiece" when I was in high school and I was none the wiser.

I wonder what gets into the heads of some people writing reviews of products and not reviewing the product, instead complaining about the dealer, return policy, etc. or saying it sucked but not why. I saw one review of a mouthpiece complaining it didn't fit his horn - he had a small shank horn and the mouthpiece was a large shank. The vendor's listing mentioned several times that it was a large shank, which apparently this rocket scientist didn't read.

If I knew the kid who wrote this 'review', I'd recommend that he spend more time on his grammar and spelling, and less time focusing on how good he is.

There is a monthly payment system: it's called a credit card. And if you have good credit you can get an interest rate much lower than anything WWBW would be able to offer.

I can't tell the difference between any of these posts.
My main take away is that mellophones do not play piano parts to any credible facsimile. The very fact that their valves are suspended by springs gives me reason to ponder the use of a tin whistle. I mean, why flog a dead horse radish when Pentax are no longer Pentax. The real thing is, if he needs a contra, then a review on the 36BO will give it the vent she needs.
Am I right?

FWIW, I just picked up a beautiful 36bo in a trade and it is a fabulous horn. I like it better than my Rath.

But you're the best player on your street. Are you sure you don't want a bass trombone? I know my stuff and I recomend you to the bass tbone.

I may not actually be the best player on my street. We have never had actual auditions for the All Duval Dr. band. But I have been principal trombone in my community band for 20 years. That and $5 gets a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

I know this guy. He taught me his country's national anthem once...
Kazakhstan, Greatest Country In The World!
All other countries, are run by little girls!
Kazakhstan! Number one exporter of potassium
All other countries have inferior potassium!
( apologies to my Kazakh friends, I hope they're not on the forum
)

You mean he's Borat?
I remember Al Capp's anthem for his Lower Slobovia started:
Ptui to you, O Slobovia...
