Any one using the Mac mini M1 and Scarlett 2i2 for streaming music thru Jamulus or for their DAW, thoughts or comments?

I use the 2i2. No clue what the M1 is. The 2i2 is pretty great for the price.

Latest Apple Macs have choice of native Apple or Intel CPU. The Apple CPU is the M1. The basic question would seem to be whether or not the 2i2 is supported. (I'm waiting for the presumed upcoming release of Apple laptops before I upgrade my macbook.)

For the present and the immediate future, apps written for X86_64 code will run on M1 Macs in Rosetta 2. If Apple adheres to its past practice on CPU architecture transition (68xxx > PowerPC > Intel), Rosetta 2 will be supported in Monterey and the following two OS versions.

Can't speak to 2i2 specifically, but my church's A/V BOH migrated to M1s back in June and our production software has been running in Rosetta 2 without a blip and no discernable drop in performance. YMMV.

I use a MacBook and a 2i2. I just use Garage Band. It works great.

I use a 2i2 for simple stuff and have just picked up an 18i20 for bigger projects, both using my 2020 MacBook Pro M1. So far everything has worked seamlessly. I use Reaper as my DAW.

2i2s are great for the price, beware the preamps are pretty weak on it so if you run a dynamic mic that needs a lot of gain (looking at you Shure SM7b and SM57) then you will probably need an inline mic activator or stronger preamp
