Air leak near rotary

Little bit of background: I recently bought a Blessing b-88 open wrap. At first testing it out I didn't notice anything wrong with it. However, at home I noticed that if I'd play a scale that used the f-attachment, the way down sounded awkward and airy(for example: the c-major scale, the low c wouldn't come out properly).
Any help would greatly be appreciated on what to do.

One way to check is to pull the tuning slide all the way out and if there is a good pop then that means there’s usually decent compression but if there’s no pop then there’s a problem. Also, is it just low C or all trigger notes? Can you play low C on a different horn?

Do all the notes sound like low C? How does F sound at forte?

Check the rotor alignment bumpers and bumper plate, the plate is usually plastic and easily cracked. Also check the water key cork, and make sure the knuckle from the slide receiver isn't cracked or unsoldered.
Just a few starting points!
