Mainly talking about the bonna case and thein mouthpiece, but yes going to the netherlands would be rather difficult. Aren’t some european countries still not accepting US visitors?

Re: Win a professional recording session!
Yeah, the key information is that the board has to determine that your artistic level is high enough to bother recording. The WINNER might not even get offered that prize...
It's a fantastic prize, but I wonder if you would already have to have an album concept in mind. It's not impossible that a high schooler would be at that level (Peter Moore ten years ago or whenever he hit the scene comes to mind), but I probably wouldn't shell out for an album from Peter Moore (when he was 17), or some great college student, of generic trombone pieces, especially if they are concertos with piano accompaniment...
They probably will ask, "what would you do to an album?"
If the answer is "oh, a french themed recital" they probably will not offer the prize.
If the answer is, "Oh, I have one new piece that my composer friend wants premiered, and I'll cover a few tunes that are exciting, maybe originally for other instruments that build around this central anchor piece", then you'll probably have a deal!

Thanks for your comments!
As for copyrights, that's a good question. I will look into that with the recording company.
Harrison, the idea is to offer this prize to someone who can play at a level that makes sense doing recording. We will judge only on the submitted videos. The competition is aimed at young players, so we want to make sure if someone wins this special prize, it's going to be of value to him/her.
