Re: Good bassbone duets to buy
I recently got a cello duet book:
Rokoko-Duette, Boismortier-Zwei Sonaten
and
Corrette-Sonate
Edition Moeck Nr.1045
That are really fun to play, challenging, but not ridiculously hard!
Kyle Gordon, former bass trombone in the Houston Grand Opera and now in the Pershing band, has recorded both parts on youtube to play along with.
Worth checking out.

Re: Good bassbone duets to buy
Tommy Pedersson has written nice and really funny bass bone duetts. Medium difficult, playable by any good amateur. He has also duets for tenor and bass trombone.
One of my favorites is A song for Japan for bass bone duett.
Or take any trumpet duet book, read as EB treble clef, equals bass clef with three additional flats. There are enty of these.

I got David Wilbourn's Southern Jazz Duets from Hickey's https://www.hickeys.com/music/chamber_m ... uets-8.php
I really enjoy those. Titles are a little politically incorrect, but they make for some fun playing. High intermediate level, I'd say. For tenor and bass.

I really love the devils waltz for tenor and bass. Very fun but not too hard. I think it's higher intermediate level.

Re: Good bassbone duets to buy
I have gotten a lot of mileage out of Kenneth Singleton's 25 Baroque and Classical Duets for 2 tubas.
There's actually 2 volumes. Really awesome stuff with some a fair amount of variety given the periods the books draw from.

Here's what's in my bass trombone duets book. Many of these are published as tuba duets.
Bach 2-Part Inventions arr. Allen Ostrander
Bach Duets & Trios arr. Daniel Augustine
Tommy Pederson - 3 different sets plus The Crimson Collop
Walter Sear Tuba Duets volume 1 (there's a volume 2 I don't have - read them once, didn't like them as much)
Lew GIllis Ten Duets and Ten More Duets
Francois Devienne Six Duos Concertants for two bassoons

Re: Good bassbone duets to buy
I've put the first set of Pederson duets up on my youtube channel in individual parts to play along with. I've also put up the bass trombone parts of the first set of tenor/bass duets. I plan to put more up from my favorite duets.

Pietro Locatelli, arr. Ronald Dishinger. Six Sonatas, Op. 4, Medici Music Press. For two cellos
Earl Zindars. Ten Duets for Bass Trombone. Wehr’s Music.
There’s a lot of cello, double bass, and bassoon duets available on ww.imslp.org that are easily adaptable to bass trombone duets or tenor and bass duets.

Re: Good bassbone duets to buy
There are some Hindemith Duets for Cello or maybe bassoon that are workable on trombone and fun to play.
