Book recommendation for Tenor and Bass Trombone

Post by schiffko »

Hello from Austria!

I just wanted to let you know that the great Daily Fundamental book by Erik Hainzl (Trombonist of the Niederösterreichische Tonkünstler Orchestra Austria and former member of the Vienna Trombone Quartet) is now also available at hickeys music.

https://www.hickeys.com/search.php?q=hainzl

or for European orders:
https://tuba-musikverlag.at/index.php/p ... th-we-take

It`s a great book for the daily maintenance of technique, sound and embochure and perfectly suited also for tenor/bass doublers....

Is this an etude book or a breathing exercise book?

I had a look on the musikverlag site and when I tried to register there were only a few countries available and not UK so I've emailed them to check if they post to UK. They also have Jay Friedman's East West trombone CD which looks good and I'd like to get hold of. Good prices too compared to having to get them posted from the States.

Hi!

Its an excercise book with fundamentals and basics ... but lots of new ideas, not the "old" stuff...I mean this in a good way...

It would interesting if the publisher had some sample pages to view. The book sounds interesting but the description mostly talks a out the author’s career and doesn’t say much about the material.

Just a couple pages but it includes the table of contents.
