Hi folks,
I recently purchased a King 2125 (3B+) with F attachment off the 'Bay. I fully intend to keep the .525 slide, but I'd also like to have the option of a standard 3B slide if I can for a little brighter sound. Likewise, it might be nice to acquire a straight bell for the .525 slide at some point: I can see myself purchasing a used straight 3B for that purpose. What sort of compatibility is there between the various King horns?

Re: King bell/slide compatibility?
2B/Jiggs/old single bore Liberty/605/older tempo with 7.5” nickle bell are compatible
3B/2B+/606/Benge 170/Tempo with 8” nickel bell are compatible
3B+/607/608/609/Benge 160,175 are compatible
4B/5B/Benge 165 and 190 are compatible
Different tenons between each series, so some mods would have to be done to put a 3B slide on a 3B+ bell section
3B/2B+/606/Benge 170/Tempo with 8” nickel bell are compatible

Re: King bell/slide compatibility?
Thanks! Sounds like a pretty straightforward mod. Good to know the 8" Tempo parts are compatible with the 3B as well.
