Bach Mercedes II Trombone Rotor Repair
I'm new to this forum and I'm having a bit of a problem with my trombone, and i cant find any information anywhere. i have a Bach Mercedes II F-Rotor trombone, and the head of the screw that keeps the linkage and the rotor together has sheered off from the threads. I've dealt with getting screws with no heads out of things before, so i know how to fix it. I just need to know where i can find a replacement screw to put it back together. If someone could help me out with giving me a link to a website where i could buy one of these screws, I'd really appreciate it.
Edit: I bought a screw and have fixed my issue. Thank you all for your help!
Edit: My image didn't upload right away, so here it is: https://ibb.co/KVLFpJy

Usually parts like that have to be ordered by a tech who has access to the supply catalogue. Just ask one and they can get the part for you.

Re: Bach Mercedes II Trombone Rotor Repair
The screw is not terribly custom, and I'd bet a Bach 36 screw would work fine. I don't have one to analyze, but it is probably an NF thread, probably #5 size or so. Maybe one of our Techs can give a more exact value.Littletweeter wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2019 7:09 pm the problem with that, is that not many people sell mercedes trombones, let alone parts for them

You're talking about the screw that holds the stop arm onto the spindle of the rotor? That screw has not changed over time, and is used on every rotor valved horn that Bach have ever made. It is not specific to a particular model.

It's a 3-56 thread, doubt ANY local store will carry anything that small.
Amazon has these, probably more than you could ever use though:

I can ship you one for about $10
