Altieri gig bags being redesigned

According to their website they are redesigning all brass bags except euphonium. I love my Altieri trombone gig bag and will be interested to see the new design.

If you want one of the current designs they are selling out their current stock at normal prices.

I've got an Altieri, and think they are a good design, but in general the materials they use could be a step up. The pack nylon they use is very thin, and the straps are fairly narrow. The rigid foam around the slide is great, maybe a little overkill.

I have an older version from around 1995 and it has held up very well. They must have changed the material/straps they used at some point because the materials on my bag are top notch. And that rigid foam protecting the slide is what makes it such a good gig bag, imho.

They told me a few months ago that they were looking for a new trombone bag maker. Hopefully this means I can order a contra bag!
