Etude student horn
is the etude etb100 any good for a student or is it junk

As with almost all Chinese made horns, some specimens are good and others not.
If it ever needs repair, it's time for the scrap bin; most are not repairable.
You should be able to get a few years out of it if it doesn't self-destruct.
I have a few cheap Chinese trombones I have tested and while I'm not junking my Holton Stratodyne for any of them, they can have their uses.
Don't pay more than the cost of a good used King 606, Conn 22H, or Yamaha 354 for one.
