I bough a reunion blues bag from a friend and recently put an 8.5" bell into it and it fits, but it was pretty snug. How tight should the bell be in a reunion blues bag?
I'm worried that it's too tight and having the horn roll around in my trunk or general carrying of the horn could damage the bell. Both my friend and I play King 2b & 3b so we never had to worry with this case.
Thanks!

Re: Reunion Blues Bell Tightness
I may have a similar bag to yours. Mine actually will fit up to a 9.5" (Yes, in the tenor bag). They are all tight, but I've never had any damage in that bag, even to my basses. Of course, I usually use a case if I'm worried about it.

Being snug is actually good. It means the bell is being cushioned and not juggling around itself. (Assuming it isn't putting pressure on the bell).
