This is a Soviet propaganda cartoon showing a record producer trying to shield the classical composers from pop music.

From left to right I see

Tchaikovsky
???
Glinka
Moussorgsky
Rimsky-Korsakov

Any theories as to the second composer's identity? I'm presuming he is a Russian like the others.

Possibly. One of my initial suspects.

He had the hair and he had the beard but never both at the same time in any picture I find of him

, so i'm thinking it's someone else.

The other caricatures are close matches to iconic portraits.
