Hi all,
I'm programming a big band gig soon and would like to pay tribute to Aretha Franklin. I'd like to do "I say a little prayer" either as an instrumental or vocal. Other classic Aretha numbers would be equally appropriate though.
Scouring the internet hasn't come up with much unfortunately.
Any recommendations for arrangements would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Hamo

Sounds like an opportunity to contact Franklin's estate and get permission to write some arrangements.

We picked a vocal arrangement of "You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman" from
https://www.bigbandcharts.net/. We haven't done it with our singer yet, but the band sight read our parts and we liked the arrangement. They also have "Respect".

I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are still missing!
