I just heard that my friend Bobby Scann died yesterday in Las Vegas.
I knew him in DC in the 70's when he played lead trombone in the Army Blues. He spent most of the time since then in Las Vegas.
I just talked to him a week ago...

I’ve known Bobby for a number of years a great guy excellent trombonist and a great writer as well. We first met at the 100 Trombone plus thing at UNLV year ago. I will miss him very much. We talked about 2 weeks ago.
His Christmas music books are excellent! If you don’t have them you should find a copy somewhere!
