FS Alliance E2 Large Shank Mouthpiece

Hello. FS is an Alliance E2 Euph/ Trb Large Shank mouthpiece.
It is gold plated with a 26.40mm rim. THis is essentially a copy of the DW SM 3U Ultra .
It has the same shape and rim. The inner rim is  ever so slightly more round than the 3U Ultra.

For what it's worth the Alliance piece is not a copy of the Ultra series.

David Childs designed the Alliance series as a souped up Wick 4AL while the Mead mouthpieces, especially the Ultra and Ultra X series, are more their own thing.

THis is what I was told by the TTF member I bought it from.
Seems identical to my Ultra 3U.
There are also D Childs Models. The D2 is the same size 26.40mm
 As I understand the 4AL is 26.00mm. The rims are quite different too
This is 26.40mm
It is what it is.

Yeah sorry seems I was wrong about the piece too! I'm spreading fake news

They used to call the David Child's piece their "Euphonium" model, seems like now they have an Ultra style piece and a David Child's piece.
