FS: Shires Bass with upgrades (screw bell & Olsen valves)

I am not playing as much as I once was due to a myriad of circumstances. I would rather this horn be played than sit in a closet and rot.

Here are the specs:

BII 7YM Screw Bell, unlacquered but polished
Independent F/Gb Olsen ball-bearing axial vales
BYB Tuning Slide
B62 Handslide
B2 Leadpipe
Shires thumb rest

With the Olsen valves, they are virtually maintenance free.  I put just a couple drops of Hetmans #1 (light piston oil) in them every couple weeks to keep corrosion at bay. I will include a bottle of this for you, along with a bottle of #14 for the ball joints.  Valve action is super smooth. The case for this horn is one of the new Shires custom screw bell cases in new condition, with optional shoulder strap.

Will also include a like-new Shires New Classic 1MD mouthpiece.

The horn is in excellent shape, it plays like a dream and looks like it, too. Slide action is 10/10.

I'm asking $4,100 plus insured shipping and any fees. PayPal preferred.  Given all the upgrades (screw bell, case, and Olsen valves), this is a heck of deal. I estimate everything here to be worth about $7,000 brand new.

Well, thanks to the guy locally who decided not to buy it (can't blame him - come to find out his main ax is a Thein BVD  ), I've come to my damn senses.  This beauty is staying in the stable.
