For sale is a lightweight gold brass Bach 42 bell flare (flare only - all hardware has been removed). These were previously made for the Jay Friedman model by Bach which has now been discontinued. It is made from a thinner gauge of gold brass than the standard Bach gold brass bells in order to mimic the actual Mount Vernon bell played by Mr. Friedman, who has also tested this particular bell and liked it. This flare was ordered separately and installed nearly two and a half years ago by former Greenhoe technician, Brian Russell. It is in mint condition and has never sustained damage of any kind. The lacquer is flawless and there is no acid bleed around the rim of the flare. It is ready as is to be installed on any horn of the buyer's choice. I've found another bell for my personal collection and need to "thin the heard". Selling for $800, buyer pays shipping. PayPal only please. No PMs and serious inquiries only.
