Want to buy: Schilke 58 Remington taper

Post by ttf_anonymous »

I'm looking to purchase a Schilke 58 with a Remington taper for an old 62H. If anyone has one lying around they're not using, I'd love to make you an offer to take it off your hands!

I have a schilke 59 and it normal one the Bass mouthpiece fits my 72H perfectly it is a little shorter than a standard conn mouthpiece and it's just the normal one fits perfectly and does the job great.

Mmmm, not really. The proper shank taper will get the most out of the horn. With a Remington taper mouthpiece the 72H sings.

^agreed! You wouldn't believe the difference the right shank makes. Wasn't the old Schilke shank supposed to work with both tapers?

The old Schilke shank does work well in a 72H. And a lot of them were used in Morse taper horns too. So I guess so.
