To assist me in a research project about trombone mutes, I would like to acquire a Ray Robinson trombone cup mute. It does not need to be restored or in pristine condition; I am interested in its measurements and would like to do an analysis of the materials used in manufacturing. If you or someone you know have one to sell, please contact me through my website at the link below. Thanks very much.

Also, you may know this already, Roger Ingram used to restore Ray Robinsons and is probably a fantastic source of information:

WTB: Ray Robinson trombone cup mute
Hi all,
I want to thank everyone who has chimed in on this thread and those who have emailed me privately. A Forum member has just sold two Ray Robinson cup mutes to me (I already have a Robinson straight mute) and I'm very happy to be adding them to my collection so I can study them. I have also been in contact with Roger Ingram who is a wealth of knowledge about Robinson and his mutes.
With thanks,
-Douglas Yeo
