Greg Black NY series question(s)
So, I currently play a 3.5G-5G regular weight and am interested in trying a new york series mouthpiece. However, I am not sure what route to go, I know the".5" ny mouthpieces are the 5G depth but the rims are an issue and I am too far from his shop or a dealer to try them all out. I can either go smaller or bigger. For context, I have tried a 3G before and the rim felt a bit big but I have heard the new york rims have a different contour so maybe it would be fine? The safe bet might be a NY 5.5, but regardless I want to know what people have experienced with the NY mpcs.
