Music Display Option for the Teaching Studio Setting

Post by NathanSobieralski »

Hello all,

I've been working on this project through the summer and offer it here now for your comments/thoughts.

I have a fairly large trumpet studio and there seems to be no stopping the tendency for students to practice from a device of some sort. I developed this as a cheap, convenient alternative to the ready made digital music stands that seem to be very expensive. It will mount up to a Manhasset music stand and accept a small TV or monitor with 75 or 100mm mount holes spacing. HDMI to USB-C will connect to most devices. My students seem to like it, and it works well for me so I am offering it for sale hoping it can help others.

Interested in your thoughts!

standard lightning to HDMI, bazillion of them on Amazon. Or USB-C if you're on the light side

Wouldn't a TV tripod be sturdier, maybe cheaper, and not require the sacrifice of a Manhasset? The $30 Pyle on Amazon holds 22 pounds, vs. your 6.

That's certainly an option also. Personally, I prefer the familiar footprint of a Manhasset. I figure a lot of people have a Manhasset or two lying around in poor shape that could be repurposed.
