A few months back, I picked up a beautiful Shires sterling bass from Noah (slipmo) at Brass Ark. I decided to have it refinished to match my sterling tenor and alto, which both have a brush finish. So after a bit of chatting with Shires, I sent it in. Nick Martino did an amazing job with it. It should be on its way back to me soon, but here's a photo from the shop:
What blew me away was how fast the work was done. Nick emailed about 10 days ago to let me know he had received it, and today everything was finished. Lightning quick, and it looks amazing. If you're thinking of having work done, I highly recommend giving Nick a call.
