“Loud” mouthpieces
Over the weekend I got to try a friends Loud brand bass bone mouthpiece. Anyone know where I can buy one?

Certainly not new... there's quite the story behind those.

I think they are like $10000 on the site, right?
Or at least it used to be:

I think Houser Mouthpieces might actually have the old designs, so if you reach out to them, they might be about to recreate whatever LOUD brand piece you were after.

It's an ugly divorce tale. Just look at the link I provided. That used to be a real company. For a while they actually had the remaining stock for sale, for like $10k each.

I had a couple of Loud mpcs. Nothing to write home about IMO.
Check out Giddings. He’ll set you up.

$10K? At one time, they were $1,000,000,000 (US).

Oh wow, I had never seen the "Manifesto" before, just the other stuff. I don't know if they made their mouthpieces in house, but as others have said they were involved with Houser mouthpieces for a while, and some of the pieced that LOUD sold were actually Houser designs, though I think those were mostly Tuba mouthpieces.
I you're looking for SS mouthpieces for bass trombone, Giddings is probably your best bet.
I don't know if Houser or Parker are making any bass trombone pieces at present, though if I recall both have contract made mouthpieces for other brand names in the past.

Re: “Loud” mouthpieces
Patrick Mouthpieces has been a continuation of the Loud mouthpieces in the trumpet line. Steve talks about here; https://patrickmouthpieces.com/history/
But I don’t know if that applies to the trombone line. The BG mouthpieces are great.

without going to far into it, there are about four to five more sites linked together with the LOUD page. it's a pretty large web of odd but semi interesting sites.
