Concerning Allen saying that he felt like he sounded like a little kid when playing with Doc due to Doc's incredibly huge sound. He's probably not referring specifically to this performance, but a good example of Doc tearing it up.

I have always loved that cut off! It makes me smile and shake my head in amazement.
Nice interview with Allen. I had the great fortune to sit next to him many times and he was/is the nicest, most humble, freakishly great trumpet playing musician I have ever known.
