Making a leather case

Has anyone made their own leather case/gig bag? I've been getting into leather working lately and thought that may be a fun endeavor. However, I am having trouble pinning down a pattern somewhere and was curious if anyone had one or know where to get one?

You may have to take the approach I sometimes take with tying my own flies.

Buy one, take a razorblade to it to deconstruct it and see how it's put together. Then you know everything you need to make as many of your own as you'd like!

That's not a bad idea. Maybe I'll do that with my pbone case and just make it a little beefier
