What is this "Vincent Bach tuba"?

Post by AtomicClock »

From the lazy pictures, I can't read the bell engraving. But maybe someone recognizes something? Aside, of course, from the VB mouthpiece. Odd water key. Repair job?

That is quite an odd tuba. Looks like a trombone. Maybe by Bundy? If it's something like a 6, 8, 10, or 12 it's a steal (or maybe stolen?).

It's some sort of Martin, or something related from the RMC/Wurlitzer era, possibly one of the student/Indiana models as they're the only ones I've seen with the narrower/rounder tuning slide crook.

Slide bracing and the Committee-style waterkey (that wasn't actually fitted to most Martin Committees...) are definitely Martin.

Seller finally changed tuba to trombone in the auction. Did someone here tell them?
