King Duo Gravis Silver Sonic

Post by Chaztuba »

Looking for the value of a King duo gravis ca.1975 with original triggers, d & e slides, in very good condition. He's asking $3000. Is that too much? Thank you.

Silver sonics tend to go for way more than a yellow brass counterpart. $3k doesn't seem too far off the mark to me imo

$3000 is a great deal. When I sold mine a few years back, it sold for $4400 on eBay.

Yeah, they generally go for somewhere between $4k and $5k, depending on condition and need for work. You'll almost certainly want to split those triggers.

Just make sure that it actually IS a silver sonic and not silver plated.

Thank you all for your replies. I was actually seeking an honest appraisal of the horns worth before offering it back to the original owner. He had no use for it, but enjoyed playing it again. I'll probably be selling it soon (at closer to its current value).

Hey Matt - I'd like to list this horn in the classifieds but can't figure out how to add pictures. I watched your video (thank you), but don't know how to get to the full editor and review page. Thank you.

Under the Quick Reply box there are two buttons: one to submit and the other for the Full Editor. Also, if you click on the Edit Post (I think it's a pencil) that also puts you into the full editor.
