Conn 88h Serial number

Hi, we just bought a Conn 88h for my son. The guy said it was approximately 10 years old but the serial number doesn't make sense. Can someone assist with aging it please?
Serial no 2324xx slide number D075x
The engraving is CG Conn 88h USA

Conn has gone thru a few serial number changes. By what you've described your 88H could be in the ballpark the seller quoted you.

What doesn't make sense?

A picture of the bell engraving would be helpful as well.

I was just confused by the dates as the serial number reference pages show that after 1987 then you add 50 to the serial number to get the date. Then another page mentioned that 23xxxx serial numbers were from 1983.
