Some of the German instrument makers are a little bit special and not very easy to get in touch with.
I have never had direct contact with Lätzsch, but until now only heard very positive things.
Maybe your mail simply ends up in spam for whatever reason?

I tried multiple times through multiple means to contact them during the past two months. The Facebook messenger option is where they finally responded to me but over a month after I inquired. No SL-240 for me

Hi all,

I've been trying to get a hold to Lätzsch Brass, but it seems their customer service is sub par. I'm on about week three of trying to email them, roughly 5 emails & 1 awkward phone call where the manager told me to email because of our English/German differences. I've even had an American Latzsch artist and a german friend try to help me out and i'm still no further in the process as before I started.

Anybody have an experience with trying to get a hold of them? I love their altos and would like to buy one, but i'm having very little luck getting anywhere with this company. With that being said, if anyone has a latzsch alto that they'd like to sell, please let me know. I will pay GOOD money for one.

I would write an email and call again, just to say that you have written an email with a possible order and haven't heard back so far. Lätzsch is a super small business/shop with less than a handful people working there. So some things take time with them, but in the end it usually works out. That said, phone call is the best way to get in contact with them.

I’d also go through Dillon, personally. Having someone domestically to pay who handles the international legwork is definitely worth it

I have a friend who purchased a Lätzsch alto from Dillon Music, and that really does seem to be the best way to get a new one. As far as I know everything they do at present is made to order. They are a small shop, and are most likely pretty backlogged with orders right now, just like many other companies. I'm in the process of getting a Hoelle tuning slide for a Bach 42, and that's probably going to take 6-9 months minimum, possibly more.

Exportation is not always a smooth process, and they are almost certainly going to give priority to known dealers who are used to handling international transactions.

I would contact Dillon music and see if they have any incoming or in the pipeline.

As others have stated go through the US dealer as this is their normal way of doing business. Unless you want to fly there and try.....

Latzsch is very small, a lot of German businesses shut down completely this time of year for vacation. I visited their workshop a few years back and I don't believe Herr Nienaber has great English.
