King Legend Case?
Has anyone had experience with the King Legend Case (like sold by The Horn Guys)? I've been searching for a case for a 2b and this seems like a really good option.

Re: King Legend Case?
Good case, a little larger than I would like for a small horn (I use an SKB 360). But there isn't really anything else that competes, especially for a perfectly fitted case for King small bores.

Re: King Legend Case?
So, would you recommend the SKB 360 over the Legend? I don't mind spending a bit more for the legend if it is better fit and more protective than the SKB 360. I read somewhere that King trusts the new legend case so much that when they ship a new 2b/3b, they don't even put any extra padding inside the case for shipping.

I have an SKB and the King. LOVE the King case. The SKB is all right, but the King is great on my 3b.

If it's this case:
https://www.hornguys.com/products/king- ... one-case-1
The new 3BFs ship in that. It's a really nice case. King is trying really hard, and the 3BFs from 2020, from the thick of the factory shut downs, play amazingly well. And they ship with a really sturdy, well thought out case that comes with nice straps, etc.

Re: King Legend Case?
Yes, that is the case I'm asking about. So far, the only negative I've heard is that it is much bulkier than the SKB 360 (it doesn't look it to me in the photos, but I haven't seen one in person yet).

I think it looks cool and my opinion is the only one that matters.
I do not think you will be disappointed with that case. Bulkier does not mean too bulky.

I'm not sure your arms are long enough for the trombone you are pictured with...

Re: King Legend Case?
I gave in and ordered a King Legend case from horn guys. It is as nice as promised. I'll post some photos soon.
https://www.hornguys.com/collections/tr ... one-case-1
It holds a 2b/2b+/3b or 3b+ perfectly - clearly molded exactly for them. It is a beautiful case and so far, I would highly recommend it.
I'm using it for my silver tone 2b, but will include some photos with both 2b and 3b (no, not at the same time).
It weighs about 8 lbs empty, so it is a little on the heavy side, but the horn is well protected and the slide is positioned well so that bell damage due to slide movement would be nearly impossible.

I don't know who makes those cases but I have three of them from different sellers. Only difference is the style of handle and badges. The case is very strong without being too heavy. Highly recommend them.

Re: King Legend Case?
Those cases are just gorgeous! I use an old ProTec ProPac (the outside pocket is large enough for a couple of sets of drumsticks, a cowbell, and microphone gear), but if I wanted to flat-out smile every time I looked at my case... one of those would be tough to beat.
The only problem would be that I would need to dress up to match my case!

Re: King Legend Case?
I've had the case for about 8 months now and it is still just as pretty. So far, everything has held up so well that it is still like new (although I take it out of the house several times a week). It is fantastic case for the price. It is a great match for my 2b Silver Tone.
