New Brass Quartet Fanfare

Post by WilliamLang »

In the spirit of promotion, I've written a new brass quartet fanfare (two trumpets, two trombones) that could be fun for anyone that wants to check out some new material. It's about 70 seconds long, and definitely on the shorter side of fanfares, but i think it gets the job done.

Being premiered this Sunday at 10 am by Baker's Brass (Hugo Moreno, Kate Amrine - trumpets, William Lang, Jen Baker - trombones)

Feel free to let me know if you'd like parts and have interest in reading through this!

Hey William,

Something is not quite correct with that score. I think it should say "Trumpet in C" for both trumpet parts. Would that be what you intended?

Ah I see what you mean. The score is in C, the trumpet parts themselves are in Bb.

The trumpet parts are in the same key as the trombone parts, so they must be C trumpet.

The score is in C. The parts that the trumpets will play off of are in Bb, and are transposed correctly.
